Who you'll work with

I'm Endrit Shashaj, an attorney licensed with the Albanian Bar since 2014, with a law degree from Sapienza University of Rome and certification as a mediator.

I've spent 14+ years in legal, compliance and commercial real estate work, and I run 13 short-term rentals in Tirana and on the Albanian coast. I'm based in Pennsylvania and work in Tirana through a trusted local network, so I know both sides of the move.

Questions

Can Americans buy property in Albania?

Yes. Foreigners can own apartments, houses and most urban property. Agricultural land is restricted.

How long can I stay without a permit?

US citizens can stay up to 365 days. After that you need a residence permit, or you must leave for 90 days before coming back.

Do I need to be in Albania?

Most of the work happens remotely. You attend your biometrics appointment in person, and you can sign a purchase through a power of attorney.

Do you give US tax advice?

No. We advise on Albanian law and introduce you to a cross-border tax adviser for your US side.
